いただく

  • 動詞『もらう』『食べる』『飲む』の謙譲語特別形。
  • かしこまった場で使われ、話者自身（話者に関連する人やものを含む）のもらう、食べる、飲むなどの行為について話をする際に、謙遜の気持ちを表す。

例文

  • 社長(しゃちょう)から、すてきなプレゼントをいただきました。
    I received a nice present from the company president.
  • 先生(せんせい)から、レポートのアドバイスをいただきました。
    I received advice on the report from the teacher.
  • 部長(ぶちょう)から、出張(しゅっちょう)のおみやげをいただいた。
    I received a souvenir from the department head from his business trip.
  • 天ぷらを食(た)べますか。 ー はい。いただきます。
    Will you eat tempura? - Yes, I will. Thank you for the meal.
  • 何(なに)を飲(の)みますか。 ー 私(わたし)はワインをいただきます。
    What will you drink? - I'll have wine.
