V(ない) + なくちゃ

  • ある行動をする必要がある、またはしなければならないことを表すのに使われる文型。
  • 文型『V(ない) + なくてならない』の短縮形で、家族や親しい友人とのカジュアルな会話で使われることが多い。

例文

  • 母(はは)に怒(おこ)られるから、18時(じ)までに家(いえ)に帰(かえ)らなくちゃ。
    I have to be home by 6 p.m. or my mom will get mad.
  • 明日(あした)は漢字(かんじ)テストがある。寝(ね)る前(まえ)に漢字(かんじ)を覚(おぼ)えなくちゃ。
    There’s a kanji test tomorrow. I need to memorize the kanji before I go to bed.
  • このりんご、ちょっと黒(くろ)くなっているね。早(はや)く食(た)べなくちゃ。
    This apple is a bit brown. I need to eat it soon.
  • セールが終(お)わる前(まえ)に、デパートへ買(か)い物(もの)に行(い)かなくちゃ。
    I have to go shopping at the department store before the sale ends.
  • お金(かね)が足(た)りない。ATMでお金(かね)を下(お)ろさなくちゃ。
    I don’t have enough money. I need to withdraw some from the ATM.
