V(て) + ても不思議(ふしぎ)でない

  • ある状況や結果が実際に起こったとしても、驚かないし、不自然でもないということを表すのに使われる文型。

意味

it wouldn't be surprising if V; it is no wonder if V; it would not be strange if V

例文

  • 父(ちち)は毎(まい)日(にち)酒(さけ)を飲(の)んでいるので、いつ病(びょう)気(き)になってもおかしくない。
    Since my father drinks alcohol every day, it wouldn't be surprising if he fell ill at any time.
  • 空(そら)が暗(くら)い。雨(あめ)が降(ふ)ってきてもおかしくない天(てん)気(き)だ。
    The sky is dark. It is weather where it wouldn't be surprising if it started raining.
