V(た) + とたん

  • ある行動や出来事の直後に、別の行動や出来事がすぐに起こることを強調するのに使われる文型。

例文

  • 窓(まど)を開(あ)けたとたん、部屋(へや)の中(なか)に虫(むし)が入(はい)ってきた。
    As soon as I opened the window, bugs flew into the room.
  • 家(いえ)を出(で)たとたん、急(きゅう)に雨(あめ)が降(ふ)り出(だ)した。
    As soon as I left the house, it suddenly started raining.
  • 角(かど)を曲(ま)がったとたん、バイクが飛(と)び出(だ)してきてびっくりした。
    The moment I turned the corner, a motorcycle suddenly appeared, and I was startled.
  • ここをクリックしたとたんに、画面(がめん)が黒(くろ)くなったんです。
    As soon as I clicked here, the screen turned black.
  • 赤(あか)ちゃんが私(わたし)の顔(かお)を見(み)たとたんに、大(おお)きな声(こえ)で泣(な)き出(だ)した。
