Grammar pattern
〜とき…
- A grammar pattern used to indicate the temporal relationship between two clauses, describing an action or event that occurs when another action or event occurs.
- When using the structure "Clause A + とき + Clause B," note that the nuance changes slightly depending on the tense of Clause A.
- If Clause A is in the present tense: [1] Clause A and Clause B occur simultaneously, or [2] Clause B occurs before Clause A.
- If Clause A is in the past tense: [3] Clause B occurs after Clause A.
