Prohibitive form 〜な
- A conjugation of Japanese verbs, also known as the negative command form, which is used to firmly instruct someone not to do a particular action.
- To form the prohibitive form of a verb, add な to the end of the dictionary form.

- Note that the prohibitive form is used to give a command or strong advice to someone, so it is typically used by people in positions of power to give orders or instructions, among people with close relationship, or in a emergency.
