[Grammar pattern] V(ます) + ますので…: Meaning and Example Sentences

A grammar pattern used to politely indicate cause-and-effect relationships in a sentence.
In conversation, when the speaker believes that the listener can infer the clause after "ますので", the clause is often omitted and the sentence ends with "ますので".

雨(あめ)が降(ふ)っていますので、気(き)をつけてお帰(かえ)りください。

Please be careful on your way home as it's raining.
熱(ねつ)がありますので、今(きょ)日(う)は会(かい)社(しゃ)を休(やす)ませていただきます。

I have a fever, so I'll take the day off from work today.
社(しゃ)長(ちょう)は、今(いま)、会(かい)議(ぎ)をしていますので、あとでご連(れん)絡(らく)します。

The president is in a meeting now, so I'll contact you later.
私(わたし)には、この仕(し)事(ごと)はできないと思(おも)いますので、他(ほか)の方(かた)にお願(ねが)いします。
