[Keigo (Honorific)] Kenjogo (Special form): Meaning and Example Sentences

Special form is a form of kenjogo (謙譲語, humble language) in which there are no fixed rules for verb conjugation. Instead, it can be created for each verb by allowing it to undergo unique conjugation.
Note that it is preferred for verbs with special forms to use the special form rather than the basic form.

明(あ)日(した)、先(せん)生(せい)の家(いえ)に伺(うかが)います。

I visit the teacher's house tomorrow.
部(ぶ)長(ちょう)にお土(み)産(やげ)をいただきました。

I received a souvenir from the manager.
お客(きゃく)様(さま)のチケットを拝(はい)見(けん)します。
